PROCESS
INTRODUCTION
A half hour phone call to discuss your overall project goals and Meadowbrook Garden Design’s services.
ON-SITE CONSULT
In-person meeting at your property where we can discuss your project more in depth, determine your requirements, and allow me to see the property to gather some data that would effect the project scope. An estimate will be provided following this meeting.
$150 consult fee to be paid in advance of on-site meeting.
SITE ANALYSIS
Once the design estimate is approved, we return to the property to perform a detailed site analysis including measurements, environmental assessment, and site photographs. I’ll also collect any additional information needed from the homeowner, including existing surveys, HOA requirements, etc.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
We meet again in person to discuss and get feedback on the conceptual design. Included in the conceptual plan presentation will be a plan view (overhead) concept, initial ideas for materials and plantings, and, depending on the project, some elevation view drawings to show more detail.
REVISIONS
The revision phase requires the most collaboration between client and designer. As feedback from the conceptual presentation is incorporated into the design, continued communication is key to ensure that I’m delivering on your vision for the final plan.
FINAL PLANS
The final presentation meeting includes a review of the final design plan, a review of recommendations for hardscaping, lighting and other build requirements, and planting plans and plant selections. The final plans may include elevation drawings to show the look and feel when you’re in the space. Final design plans include maintenance recommendations.
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION
We are the client's unbiased advocate during the build phase of the project. We secure the best installers and vendors for your job and aren't tied to a specific set of contractor capabilities. We secure multiple bids to ensure competitive pricing and oversee every aspect of your installation to make sure the design intent and detail is implemented.
